Park City - Pop Up
Susan Eley Fine Art is delighted to announce a one-month pop up gallery in Park City, UT. Open from February 3rd through March 4th, the Gallery will be located at the base of the Canyons Village on the Plaza of the Pendry Hotel. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, February 7th, 5-7PM with artists present.
Park City Mountain attracts skiers and visitors from around the globe. Surrounded by restaurants, high end retail shops and an après-ski wine bar, SEFA Park City will be a welcome addition to the retail environment.
SEFA intentionally selected to pair artists who bridge our East Coast program with our pop up endeavor in the Utah Rockies. This exhibition features two artists: Francie Hester, an established, long-time SEFA artist from Silver Spring, MD, alongside Cheryl Appe, a Park City resident and a newcomer to the Gallery.
Together, their energetic approaches to abstraction highlight variations of textures and colors. Appe’s gestural hues, as in her Desert Rocks landscape, complement Hester’s more structured mosaic “Portale” series. Both artists merge their natural surroundings with expressive forms, relying on dimensionality and interpretation.
