The last 2econd Saturday was October 9th, but many of the exhibitions continue through the end of the month or until the next\u00a02econd Saturday Hudson Gallery Crawl<\/a>\u00a0on Saturday, November 13th!<\/p>\n

This may not have been intentional, but several of the local galleries focused on environmental issues.<\/p>\n

Jim Denney\u2019s exhibit,\u00a0Bearing Witness<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0at Susan Eley Fine Art\u00a0are a series of paintings that depict trees and forest fires. As per the gallery\u2019s press release, \u201cthe paintings fearlessly acknowledge both forces \u2013 the destruction and the rebirth \u2013 within the flames.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jim Denney is a local artist<\/a>, who now lives and works in Hudson, New York. He spent years in the west, as a firefighter, which inspires his work.<\/p>\n

The exhibit is up until\u00a0November 21st at SEFA Hudson, 433 Warren Street.<\/a><\/p>\n
