SEFA in The New York Times

Last Tuesday we took a call from Zach Schonbrun, a New York Times Sports writer—yes, Sports—inquiring if the gallery was open that afternoon. About an hour later, Maodo Lo, a tall, handsome and mighty charming star basketball player with Columbia University, walked in with his coach, a reporter and a cameraman. We spent the next 45 minutes looking at Carole Eisner’s paintings on our gallery’s walls. Schonbrun asked Lo about his love of art. Lo talked with great admiration for his mother, renowned German painter Elvira Bach. He attributes his love of art to her. When he’s off the basketball courts, Lo spends much of his free time frequenting galleries in NY.
