Artist: Jeffrey Rothstein

Jeffrey Rothstein was born in Northhampton, MA in 1960 and lives in New York City. He has lived in London and the US Virgin Islands.

His years in the Caribbean as a child-in a hill top house, overlooking the ocean-made a deep impression on him. Rothstein spent a good deal of time in and under the water, teeming with a diversity of yellow, orange and purple corals. His entire world, he says, was bright and filled with intense color and shapes.

Rothstein studied physics before turning to photography and received a BA from Hampshire College,1982. Before devoting himself to fine art, Rothstein worked as a fashion and still life photographer in New York.
